The Sr. Report Analyst (SRA) will compile, validate and analyze data and populate current and future report templates and prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
Use your operational analytical skills to design/develop, program, maintain and publish reports. Make solid recommendations based on the analysis and provide explanations for reporting results for both internal operations and our customers. You must be self-directed and creative as you will deal with some very interesting and complex issues. As a key resource to others you must maintain a high degree of accuracy along with attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to always meet deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities:

Positions in this function include those responsible for designing/developing, programming, maintaining and publishing operational reports
Provides operational analysis utilized for decision making
May make recommendations based on the analysis, and provide explanations for reporting results as needed
May be done for internal operational purposes as well as for customers
Develop relationships with health plan leaders, organizational functional leaders and functional stakeholders including working closely with local and national BI team
Must possess excellent communication skills, demonstrating competence in their ability to present complicated ideas, concepts and data to others in an understandable and supportive manner
Must understand and develop competencies  with current contractual & health plan report templates and support health plan leaders to develop new report templates as needed
Will summarize reports into dashboards and/or power point slide decks as needed
Will compile, analyze, validate and populate data into contractual  reporting templates for review by health plan leaders,  enabling these health plan leaders to prepare their narratives based on contractual reporting requirements
Will receive requests from manager to produce ad hoc reports based on current business needs and priorities
Will also produce ad hoc reports for state meetings or other critical business requirements
Will analyze ad hoc report data and convert into deliverable formats for requested contractual  reports during implementation, readiness reviews and on an ongoing basis as needed

Will define long-term strategies for implementing process and/or reporting improvements

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
4+ years of experience performing significant data analysis and report development
Healthcare, managed care, Medicaid and or government programs experience is desired
Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Excellent ability to communicate and present analysis including trends and opportunities
Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data
2+ years of experience working with fundamental concepts, practices and procedures relating to systems analysis, design and implementation, including business operations workflow design and implementation, and systems QA testing/UAT
Preferred Qualifications

Managed Healthcare experience
Crystal Report skills and SQL Server experience
