Therapeutic Training & Support Specialist-150008AT Job Clinical Primary Location United States-MA-MADedham Organization Hastings For MA Mentor and The MENTOR Network, the Therapeutic Training and Support Specialist is critical to our success and exemplifies the wonderful mission driven work we do here every day. We are looking for someone with a strong sense of purpose to provide intensive in-home services to families. The Therapeutic Training and Support Specialist will work with a license eligible clinician, to support, the implementation of the treatment plan. The treatment plan will assist youth and families achieve their goals. This position may include both In-Home Therapy and Therapeutic Mentoring cases. They will also receive training and become certified in the Family Centered Treatment © model. This is an innovative evidenced based approach which achieves effective outcomes. This position will serve families living in the Boston area.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide and implement one on one skill building and strength-based interventions to youth and families
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Offer emergency, crisis support, and parent education
  • Assures that documentation and records are kept confidential, organized, complete and submitted in an accurate and timely manner
  • Makes referrals to services and resources on behalf of families
  • Provides closure and aftercare plan for each family/client

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in the Human Services field
  • Should have at least one year of experience with children who have emotional and/or behavioral issues
  • Prefer candidates with prior experience working with aggressive and oppositional children/teens
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
