Within this group, there is a shared services sub-group responsible for reporting, governance, compliance, process improvement and communication.  UHC IS Operations also has sub-groups assigned to each of the four business segment. The team is comprised of highly skilled and experienced professionals who live United’s values: Integrity, Compassion, Relationships, Innovation and Performance.In addition to financial allocations, there are process improvement opportunities in improving the overall stability, effectiveness and efficiency in IS operations - including problem management, root cause analysis, production turn-over, and several other areas.Primary Responsibilities:Serve as primary IT resource for small to medium-size projectsWork with business segments to better define project requirements for development and implementationAssesses and interprets customer needs and requirementsIdentifies solutions to non-standard requests and problemsSolves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analysesWorks with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasksReview and analyze internal and external contracts to ensure UHC has a clear understanding of the services provided and the associated costsReview and analyze application capacity and UHC usage to maximize license deployment and ensure allocations reflect usage requirementsReview end-of-life and extended support offerings to determine timing of software upgrades, replacements and retirementsDetermine the Total Cost of Ownership for UHC ApplicationsDevelop, perform, and manage the analyses of business and financial metrics as well as performance measures related to contracted servicesDevelop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate allocations, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budgetUnderstand and incorporate industry specific metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisionsWork closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans and processes to improve cost efficienciesProduce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for their stakeholders

Requirements

Requirements:Bachelor Degree with 1+ years of professional Analyst experience with either IT Business Planning or Financial Analysis OR High School Diploma/GED plus 5+ years of professional Analyst experience with either IT Business Planning or Financial AnalysisKnowledge of continuous process improvementBasic proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Visio, Power Point)Ability to work overtime as business needs require.Assets:ITIL or 6 Sigma certification or trainingCreate or modify V Look Ups and/or Pivot Tables in MS ExcelExposure to TableauExposure to SharepointCareers with UnitedHealthcare.
