Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the day-to-day task assignments and performance for team members in all areas of the store.
  • Provide outstanding customer service. Respond to customer complaints or inquiries.
  • Execute and adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices.
  • Manage matters relating to team members and the store team – recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, team member engagement and performance management.
  • Conduct competitive fuel surveys as required.
  • Plan and prepare work schedules and coordinate daily assignments and activities of team members.
  • Operate a cash register, monitors shift cash, and prepares shift reports.
  • Prepare and serve guests fresh, great tasting, quality food.
  • Assist in vendor check-in, ordering, unpacking of orders and stocking.
  • Maintains store cleanliness.
  • Train and coach team members.
  • Maintains professional appearance in accordance with the company dress code policy.
  • Knows, follows, and enforces all state and local laws regarding lottery, cigarettes and alcohol sales.
  • Maintains professional communication and demeanor with vendors, team members and guests.
  • Apply and enforce the consistent practice of counseling and disciplinary actions for all store personnel.
  • Control company assets of facility – cash, product, equipment.
  • Maintain proper and effective inventory levels in all departments by assuring effective vendor relations and store ordering.
  • Responsible for store paperwork, P&L and budgets for retail and kitchen operations.

Requirements

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline preferred.
  • 4 years of leadership experience required, preferably in a retail or convenient store environment.
  • Exceptional customer service, superior relationship building and strong leadership skills required.
  • Highly effective written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks for team members.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Must be able to meet any state and local requirements to sell lottery tickets, alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
  • Availability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs
  • Valid State Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
