Provide thought-leadership within the team and to the broader community to promote re-use and develop consistent technical build processes. Provide technical oversight to engineers working on software and hardware problem identification and resolution Requirements BA/BS or equivalent experience 8-10 years total work experience Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems as required by domain Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education Preferred Requirements BS in Computer Science, related field or equivalent practical experience Prior experience in Banking, Retail, or related industries in Disaster Recovery with focus on Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery planning and testing Has a working knowledge of designing and constructing infrastructure platform architectures (server, network, desktop, database, Storage and systems management) Highly motivated leader with experience in complex IT multi-vendor and multi-team IT environment Ability to explain technical solutions to technical and non-technical teams Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Certifications Certification through an established Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery regulatory body such as DRII or BCI
