As a Sr. Disaster Recovery Architect, you'll take the lead as you… Understand current state; create future architecture and technology strategy for developing disaster recovery solutions and plans Consult with portfolio and product teams to align disaster recovery strategies with enterprise architecture solutions, representing multiple platforms, services, or tools Design and govern disaster recovery architecture standards and best practices Maintain working knowledge of advanced disaster recovery tactics, techniques and procedures Conduct analysis on disaster recovery architecture to ensure it can meet the Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery point objectives (RPO) determined by the Business Impact Analysis Translate business continuity needs to technical solutions based on a balance of architecture standards and plans, total cost of ownership and feasibility Serve as the central point of contact for disaster recovery architecture strategy Assess disaster recovery solution capabilities and relationships with 3rd parties and provide recommendations for improved resiliency Assist with disaster recovery tests/exercise methodologies; assist with the execution of testing and exercises About This Opportunity - Development Use your skills, experience and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals. Provide thought-leadership within the team and to the broader community to promote re-use and develop consistent technical build processes. Provide technical oversight to engineers working on software and hardware problem identification and resolution Requirements BA/BS or equivalent experience 8-10 years total work experience Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems as required by domain Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education Preferred Requirements BS in Computer Science, related field or equivalent practical experience Prior experience in Banking, Retail, or related industries in Disaster Recovery with focus on Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery planning and testing Has a working knowledge of designing and constructing infrastructure platform architectures (server, network, desktop, database, Storage and systems management) Highly motivated leader with experience in complex IT multi-vendor and multi-team IT environment Ability to explain technical solutions to technical and non-technical teams Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Certifications Certification through an established Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery regulatory body such as DRII or BCI
