Time Warner Cable currently seeks a/an Senior Manager, Critical Infrastructure supporting our Market Data Centers. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Position Summary:
Manages a team that supports Market Data Centers located across multiple geographies.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment and machinery in data center environments. Plans, budgets, and schedules data center modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs.
  • Ensure 100% Availability of critical infrastructure.
  • Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and data center expansion. Accountable for capacity planning and forecasting of data center environment.
  • Manages a team that configures, installs, maintains and upgrades the communications cabling to data processing hardware, including; Rack and Stack, Break Fix, and Smart Hands services.
  • Serves as “owner” of all Market Data Centers. Cultivates relationships with all equipment owners at each site.
  • Provides operational support for the organization's information systems and peripheral equipment, such as servers, network and storage devices.
  • Managing the development, oversight, and ongoing maintenance of the redundant, highly capable systems to support multiyear datacenter requirements in the following areas: Electrical power plant and PDU infrastructure, Chiller Water Plant, Raised Floor space planning and physical layout of equipment, Engine Generator plant, Copper and fiber structured cabling systems
  • Manages the development and implementation preventive / predictive maintenance and repair programs to support data center critical infrastructure systems.
  • Develops procedures for Network, Hardware Installs, Uninterruptible Power Supplies w/ Batteries, Engine Generators, Power Distribution Systems, Static Switches, Computer Room Air Handling (CRAH), Chilled Water Mechanical Plant systems for the company facility.
  • Ensure that best practices are used in design, testing and implementation of technical solutions and that service levels and key business plan initiatives are met. Ensure the cost-effective use of data center resources, timely response for data center issues and maximum effectiveness in routine, daily operations.
  • Manages associates including: performance management, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow planning and day-to-day administration, hiring and placement, and disciplinary actions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Education: Undergraduate studies in engineering, information technology or technical studies with equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications: RCDD Certification, RPA/CFM, contactors licensing; electrical, mechanical, or other relevant preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 - 10 years of management experience required.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of the methods and materials used in the operations and maintenance of data centers and critical infrastructure systems; standard practices, engineering, communications cabling and systems, electronic data processing equipment, networking. Thorough knowledge of company's total computing environment, including daily operations, major roles, organizational responsibilities, and understand the impact of hardware and software transitions on the environment.
  • Skills/Competencies: Strong customer-service orientation and prior leader experience defining and implementing major service-improvement initiatives. Strong project and process management skills. Strong negotiation skills. Verbal and written communications sills in order to effectively interact with all levels of associates as well as external contracts. Leadership and management skills: team building concepts, motivating and influencing.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and strong collaboration skills. The candidate must be a team player, with an inherent ability to work well under tight timelines, and have strong problem-solving capabilities.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
