Project Manager (South West Houston)

Compensation: Pay is depending on experience $55k- $60k

Our Client, a leading communications provider in the greater Houston area, has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with demonstrated ability to manage fiber optic plant and other construction projects. Job description:
The Project Manager is responsible for management of outside construction and internal projects and requires a demonstrated understanding of telecommunications construction industry standards. This position is accountable for ensuring projects are completed on-time, on budget while maintaining internal and external best practices.
Responsibilities:
Consults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources
Supervise the coordination, scheduling and construction of assigned projects
Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget
Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues
Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications
Coordinates project activities with marketing, sales, engineering, operations, customer support, and client staff to ensure goals and requirements are met
Maintain, update and distribute the master project plan for all projects
Assist in creating and updating individual project schedules as well as project summary reports for internal distribution
Update company work order database customers, employees and job numbers
Additional duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
2 years of telecommunication project management preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project and Microsoft Access
Speak, read and write English and follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
