Come join Delmarva's locally owned convenience store chain. Looking for friendly, outgoing individuals to become Tiger Mart Team members.

 

Duties and Responsilbilities

  • Give all customers prompt and courteous service which includes a warm greeting, fast and effiicient service and a thank you
  • Scans all merchandise presented by the guest
  • Makes change, processes credit/debit cards and issues receipts to guest
  • Understands and follows all cash handling procedures
  • Adheres to all city, county, and state regulations including verifying age with a valid I.D. for any age restricted sales
  • Completion of cashier paperwork at conclusion of each shift
  • Presents a neat and clean appearance in company uniform
  • Promotes merchandise programs through suggestive selling techniques
  • Completes all store housekeeping functions (i.e.,cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash).
  • Works with other store emplyees as a member of the team.
  • Performs specifics tasks as assigned by the store manager.
  • Follow the work schedule as posted, unless a change in schedule is arranged with the store manager.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all accidents immediately.
  • All situations must be avoided that may create a conflict of interest including outside employment in a similar business.
  • All duties must be performed in a manner that is free from unlawful harassment.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Be able to read, understand, and write the English language at the eighth grade level or above.
  • Be able to perform arithmetical calculations at the eighth grade level in order to make change and complete shift reports.
  • Have sufficient visual acuity to check identification.
  • Be able to read and understand instruction for operating electronic cash registers and other equipment.
  • Be able to stand for entire length of shift.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds, carry cases of soft drinks, beer and juice containers,,  etc. and change a bag in box for fountain soda syrup.
  • Be able to stock shelves and coolers.
  • Be able to react to a fire by lifting a fire extinguisher weighing ten pounds and moving it to the fire area.
  • Be ale to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
  • Be able to climb a ladder.
  • Be able to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding convenience store
  • Be able to enter and work in a cooler at a temperature of 28 degrees up to twenty minutes at a time,
