Medical Data Entry Clerk

Contract to Perm opportunity

• Proven ability to read and follow instructions.
• Data Entry skills required.
• Basic Math skills required.
• Ability to pass Ten-Key data entry machine skill test.
• Willingness to work in a high production, fast-paced environment.
• Experience using general office equipment is required.
• Ability to lift boxes up to 30+ pounds is desired.
• Thorough understanding of Explanation of benefits (EOB?s)
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes
• Previous experience working a 2nd shift required for 2nd shift openings
• Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations

EDUCATION:
Must have completed a Medical Insurance Billing and Coding (MIBC) course or be certified
High school diploma

Duties:
Testing Requirements: Data Entry &Alpha numeric

Speed >8,000kph @ > 95% accuracy

Candidates must have completed a Medical Insurance Billing and Coding (MIBC) course or be certified

Shift will be 3:30 pm to 12:00am, Sunday thru Thursday, may switch to Mon thru Friday

Essential:

• Must have thorough understanding of EOB's
• Must pass typing test with speed over 8K and accuracy over 95%
• Ability to work 3:30 pm to 12:00am SUNDAY - THURSDAY
