Position Purpose: In a team oriented environment, performs all inspection tasks in area of responsibility in a timely and efficient manner to ensure aircraft parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and installations are built to engineering drawing and specification. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions: 1) Performs inspection duties for light subassemblies and hardware installations in accordance with engineering drawings , digital work instructions, technical specifications, QA procedures and instructions and various inspection equipment. 2) Performs conformity/first article and in-process inspections to ensure compliance with customer provided data and specifications.
3) Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly mechanics. Other Requirements:
1) Experience with fastener installations, corrosion sealing, electrical bonding and bushing and bearing installations a plus. 2) Working knowledge in blueprint reading, interpretation, and shop mathematics. 3) Must possess very good analytical and practical troubleshooting skills. 4) Strong oral and written skills required. 5) Works as part of a team to ensure company and department goals related to safety, quality, schedule and costs are met.
