SUMMARY: Responsible for the setting of tables with the appropriate, utensils, glassware, plates and condiments and clean and replenish tables. Ensure cleanliness of the furniture, fixtures and dining areas.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set tables according to established standards and clear tables as required.
  • Remove dirty dishes from table, gather all soiled tableware to dish room, clean and reset table according to service standards.
  • Assist wait staff in the service of food and/or beverages to guests.                                     
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policy, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 


QUALIFICATIONS: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:     

  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences. 
  • Ability to write simple correspondence. 
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Consistent attendance is a job requirement.

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree or GED is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 0-1 Year: Six months bussing experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to:

  • Regularly (2/3 of the time or more) stand; walk; use hands and fingers to, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally (1/3 of the time or less) stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision and depth perception. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is required to:

  • Frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; work in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Be exposed to a loud work environment.
