General Manager

Quik Shoppe General Manager Position Summary: 

Quik Shoppe Food Stores is currently seeking general manager candidates. Prior general management experience is required. Our ideal candidates will have previous general management experience in either the food service industry or in retail sales. A Quik Shoppe store manager oversees the entire store’s operations including meeting or exceeding performance goals, managing the payroll budget of both the C-store & the food service operation, managing retail and food service inventory, minimizing food waste. Candidates must have the ability to select, train, motivate, provide leadership & coaching to the team members. Our managers are expected to be highly motivated individuals, lead by example, and provide and teach exceptional customer service. The standard work week for a Quik Shoppe store manager is 54 hours. The position requires the manager to be on call 24/7 unless on vacation.

Spivey Enterprises is a family owned business that operates a chain of 7 convenience stores (Quik Shoppe) with each store having an extensive food service establishment within. 5 of our locations are in Charlotte and 2 are in the Lincolnton area. All locations are branded with Shell Fuel.

Because of our food service program, We at Spivey Enterprises have long viewed our unique situation different than most others in the C-Store industry: We consider ourselves “a food store that sells gas” rather than “a gas station that happens to sell food”. Aside from our food service program, our stores offer basically the same items that other traditional C-Stores offer (Fuel, soft drinks, chips, beer, cigarettes, tobacco, lottery, HBA, and other standard categories).
