Weekend CAREGiver Position - Full-time / Part-time

Home Instead Senior Care is looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.  Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Assistance with grooming and bathing
• Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
• Alzheimer’s Care
• Maintain regular communication with supervisor and office staff
• Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance a clients quality of life
• Document daily activities and report significant changes in a clients's needs or living condition

Essential Job Requirements:

• Must be available to work on Saturday and Sunday based on CAREGiver Availability Form and specified territory
• You are available to work during your specified availability with no more than 30 min. notice
• You will answer office staff phone calls or return a voicmail, text, or email within 2hrs between 8a-10p, on days outside of your specified availability
• You will answer office staff phone calls or return a voicemail, text, or email within 30 min. during your specified availability
• You will not refuse suitable work that is scheduled for your specified availability and within your specified territory

* 0- 2 year experience necessary -  skills training provided by Home Instead Senior Care*

Requirements to be a CAREGiver:

• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
• Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance

Compensation:

• $11-$13 per hour for hourly work (days, afternoons,  & evening shifts)
• $10 per hour plus overtime after 8hr in a day for 24hr/Live in shifts & overnight asleep shifts
