Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports the administration of host home recruitment activities for the state. Assist to ensure that individual recruiter quotas are met regarding approval of new Mentor homes or other businesses as appropriate.
  • Develops and oversees implementation of the annual Recruitment Marketing Plan to include plans for conducting focus groups, attendance at exhibits/conferences, advertising, direct mail, speaking engagements, community outreach, updates to website, etc.
  • In conjunction with the State Quality Assurance Department, ensures that the host home families meet or exceed basic competencies as required regulation, contracts and program design as well as MENTOR operating policies.
  • Conducts routine oversight of both pre-service and ongoing in-service skill development and reviews existing skill development and instruction for Mentors. Maintains accurate records of Mentor skill development and generates reminder letters to Mentors of program requirements on a quarterly basis.
  • Conducts routine oversight of training and education development and reviews existing training for Recruiters. Assures that all regions facilitate support groups for Mentors, and attends 1-2 support groups in designated region annually.
  • Collects and analyzes data on host home family demographics and other relevant domains in order to identify needed areas of action in program development and recruitment efforts.
  • Administrator of Mentor recruitment database. Create and maintains reports from the database as necessary. Monitors website activity.
  • Functions as a Task Force participant, initiative distributor and/or liaison between the Recruiters, State office and corporate office.
  • Directs and coordinates the preparation of reports, including, but not limited to the annual certification for Mentor homes.
  • Maintains a current and accurate agency competitor list. Makes recommendations to the Executive Director, State Management Team and others as appropriate to remain competitive within the state human services system. Facilitates quarterly statewide review meetings.
  • Works collaboratively with the Executive Director, Regional Director, Area Director and/or Program Directors to ensure that individual program census is maintained in accordance with the annual budget projections. Participates in the annual budget planning process with the state management team to ensure that recruitment efforts are in line with annual departmental census projections.
  • Provides technical assistance, including monthly calls and on-boarding support for recruiters.
  • Conducts routine reviews of the annual marketing plan for recruitment and makes adjustments as needed for further business development. Assists with assessments of growth opportunities in new geographic areas through targeted marketing/recruitment efforts to assess potential mentor pool resources/interest.
  • May participate and/or collaborate with direct advertising and public relations activities including press releases, trade shows, and program collaterals. Collects and analyzes data on recruiting efforts geographically and tracks effectiveness of various types of advertising to identify needed areas of action in recruitment efforts.
  • Performs other related duties and activities as required.

Qualifications

What we require of you:

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, marketing or business and five years related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
Professional Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Knowledge and experience with marketing plans
Other Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Car registration and vehicle insurance.
  • Must be able to pass health screening, TB test, and criminal background check.
