Summary

Data Integration Senior Software Engineer

ATLAS Technology Group is the leading retail analytics platform in the consumer package goods industry. Blue chip CPG manufacturers and retailers leverage Atlas’ platform and tools to garner insight to retail performance. Responsibilities

ATLAS is looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer on our growing Data Integration Team. You will function as the senior developer of a team responsible for all aspects of data integration platform development and enhancements. You will be involved in the full development lifecycle of ETL solutions, including design, code development, data migrations, code reviews, deployment activities, post deployment support, and validation of a custom built data platform.

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience developing and managing enterprise data management platforms utilizing a combination of the .NET Framework (C# preferred) and SQL
  • Expert knowledge of data warehousing design and best practices
  • Proficient in the management, design, and development of large database systems (MS-SQL server a plus)
  • Ability to architect and design ETL processes to support new data initiatives
  • Accurately estimate timelines and communicate progress effectively to business stakeholders
  • Must be able to scope, design, develop, and lead teammates on project initiatives
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines related to new project initiatives and existing data process enhancements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Familiar working with a variety of data sources like web services, unstructured data and flat files
  • Experience with HP Vertica, Hadoop, or other big data platforms a plus

Position Summary

The Sr Engineer Software designs and develops software that support the business units (Sales, Marketing, HR, etc) in Advantage Sales and Marketing; systems and software include CRM, Business Intelligence, and other strategic custom software applications. Will manage stakeholders, gather requirements, design solutions, write and review code.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Software Development
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy code for ASM's technology platforms
  • Work on a team of software developers, business analysts and testers
  • Share acquired skills/knowledge with team members and mentor junior engineers as necessary
  • Actively contribute new ideas and programming concepts to the team
  • Develop and maintain services, business objects /APIs on .NET and SQL server platform
  • Create and maintain technical documents


Stakeholder Management
  • Gather and convert Business Requirements into Functional Designs and Wireframes
  • Provide recommended solutions for complex business problems End User Support


End User Support
  • Triage and troubleshoot issues with users
  • Support user training and onboarding activities

  • At least 5 – 10 years of significant and recent development experience with C#, .NET

  • Experience in web service development

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
