Warehouse Manager

Our client is the premier event planning, design and party rental company servicing the Pacific Northwest and the west coast – from Portland and Seattle to Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Position Summary

The primary purpose and function of the Warehouse Manager is directing and supervising the personnel and processes involved in the accurate, safe, and efficient loading and unloading of trucks, the pulling of inventory, restocking inventory, cleaning and repairing inventory, purchasing replacement inventory, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse, and assisting event set-up and strike crews as needed in the field. The position is also responsible for ensuring quality control and an efficient, effective, and professional warehouse workforce.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Over all responsibility for the smooth operation of the Warehouse, meeting of objectives.
  • Ensure that Warehouse Supervisors work efficiently with their assigned teams.
  • Supervise assigned warehouse staff
  • Train, develop, and retain assigned warehouse personnel on safety, paperwork procedures, equipment, lift certification, time management, and problem solving techniques
  • Create and maintain a safe, clean, well-organized work environment
  • First aid support
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all rental equipment
  • Enforce paperwork policies; including loading paperwork, equipment tagging, vehicle logging, etc.
  • Effective and regular communication with Operations Manager and other departments; collaborate on ways to improve communication, best practices, and increased efficiency
  • Establish and manage all warehouse procedures and guidelines
  • Ensure OSHA standards are met
  • Performing opening and closing responsibilities as assigned
  • Back up Operations Manager in absence


Knowledge:

Learn and retain knowledge of the internal structure of our client. Be familiar with the events industry, equipment, tools and supplies, inventory systems and operations and installation of all rental equipment. Be familiar with ODOT codes and practices. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices. Understand and enforce workman’s compensation policies and procedures.

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office, Windows, Excel, Outlook
  • Fluent in English – verbal and written

Education:
  • High school or equivalent
  • Post high school education is preferred
  • 5 or more years of warehouse or warehouse supervisory experience required
  • Valid Oregon Driver’s License and good motor vehicle record


$50,000 to $60,000 DoE
