About this job

Detail-oriented and ambitious Quality Technician wanted to join leading consumer goods manufacturer in Norco, CA. In this role, you will report to the Quality Manager and work with overseas manufacturers to ensure production and receipt of high-quality materials used to make world-class products intended for domestic and international markets. 

General Duties of the Quality Technician

  • Ensure the production and timely receipt of products
  • Inspect products, ensuring quality standards are met 
  • Develop and/or improve test methods to ensure quality
  • Maintain test equipment 
  • Conduct process audits, Identify and implement efficiencies 
  • Determine root causes, recommend corrective actions to process
  • Collaborate effectively with manufacturing personnel and management
  • Reduce manufacturing costs
  • Communicate with overseas suppliers - Written and verbal
  • Communicate with all stakeholders effectively - from production to executive management

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 year Degree (4 Year Preferred) in Mechanical,  Industrial or Quality  Engineering or related field with experience  or course work in Engineering/QA.  Recent Graduate OK.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a Quality-related role 
  • Knowledge of Process improvement techniques such as SPC and Lean Six-Sigma  a plus
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus but not  required
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and diagrams
  • High degree of motivation and desire to succeed
