Position Overview The Manager is responsible for all facets of cafe operations, including managing P&L cost centers. The Manager is the face of the Works Bakery Cafe in our communities and to our customers. This key position requires passion about our products and mission, as well as the ability to inspire great customer service by motivating and training the team. ? Key Duties and Responsibilities? * Hiring talented employees and actively recruiting new talent to ensure outstanding service.? * Developing staff by giving timely, honest and ongoing feedback through coaching and regular performance evaluations.? * Adhering to established operational and service standards with commitment and passion and helping staff do the same. ? * Increasing sales and minimizing costs according to company standards and service levels, resulting in improved profit performance compared to budget and prior year. * Maintaining the physical plant and ensuring that all restaurant equipment is properly maintained to ensure proper safety and sanitary standards.? * Ensuring compliance with company policies and federal/state/local laws and ordinances; ensuring health inspections meet all required standards.? * Overseeing administrative requirements such as cash handling and completion of guest liability, property, casualty and workers compensation reports. * Overseeing administrative requirements such as end-of-period financial reporting, maintaining employee files, cash handling, and timely filing of guest liability or workers comp reports. Position Requirements:? * Minimum 2 years experience working in a management role with a casual full service restaurant or bakery cafe with annual sales of $1M plus.? * Strong passion and commitment to the guests.? * Proven success working with corporate systems, methods, and processes that contribute to great execution.? * Stable job history which demonstrates upward career progression.? * Exceptional communication skills.? * Must be able to stand and walk for periods of eight to ten hours each shift.? * Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport objects weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during a shift.
