Local manufacturing plant in the Madison County area is now hiring Industrial/ Commercial Sewing Machine Operators Immediately!
Summary:
Operate industrial sewing machines
Complete maintenance on sewing machines (other than major repairs)
Read and understand AutoCAD drawings
Meet delivery deadlines by working with team to ensure products made correctly and with good quality
Use scanning system to track work activity
Read and understand work orders (travelers)
Understand quality requirements and how this position affects quality: on time delivery, material tracking, and meeting customer requirements.
Requirements:
Must be prompt.
Must be able to follow instructions consistently with minimum supervision.
Must be able to read shop orders and follow sewing standards.
Must work well with area supervisors and all other departments in the plant.
Must show good judgement when issues arise such as customer requirements, variances in raw material quality, and variances in end product quality.
Prepare machine by changing needles and thread, oiling and changing bobbin, and securing attachments.
Sew materials together by guiding material under machines needle.
Responsible for maintaining quality in completed products.
Meet or exceed monthly productivity goals for the position.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Industrial sewing of various types of fabric including vinyl and mesh.
Maintains quality by inspecting finished product.
Must work well with other associates.
Must follow company rules & regulations.
Availability:
Must be available to work Monday thru Thursday 6: 30 AM to 5: 00 PM
Pay Rate:
Positions starting at $7.50 per hour

Automation Personnel Services employees are eligible for a week of paid vacation and qualify for 6 paid holidays per year once 1500 hours is worked.
