The Associative Creative Director is responsible for concepting and implementing the creative strategy for UnitedHealth Group through storytelling and copywriting. This individual will work closely with the internal partners to understand the business strategy and create content that is compelling and engaging to all target audiences including government, customers, investors, and employees.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Provide the writing support for strategic initiatives for UnitedHealth Group Marketing; ranging from messaging platforms to marketing materials
Understand business strategy and provide creative direction and insight to develop the story and effectively communicate to target audience
Creates content for various marketing initiatives (videos, materials, digital, social media, presentations)
Writes, helps steer and influence development of UHG Story Content 
Work with various leaders to help them shape their message and simplify complex conceptsCreate compelling and engaging stories to support the business strategy
Collaborate with other creative resources to ensure consistency of approach and alignment of brand strategy
Assets:

Comfortable interacting with executive leadership
Proven record of taking complex concepts and simplifying them into stories
Ability to extend creative concepts

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Journalism or related field
8 + years of experience with creative agency or within a creative team environment
8 + years of strategic writing experience
8 + years of experience with creating all levels of communication from advertising campaigns to brochures and fliers
5+ years of experience writing for advertising efforts including digital designs
Experience with both B2B and B2C marketing
People management experience
Writing samples are required
Preferred Qualifications:

Video concepting experience
Healthcare experience
