Sodexo Health Care is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for a Regional Operations Support (ROSI) role to assist in supporting the successful operation of Sodexo food service programs for hospital systems located in the Southeast Region.   This position requires extensive travel and with overnight stays depending on location. Schedule will be mainly be 10 days on with 4 days off. This is a temporary position to last six months up to one year with the possibility of moving into a permanent role with the region.

 

The selected individual will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day dining services operations and implementing Sodexo standards. The ROS Manager position will also assume temporary assignments serving as the Executive Chef, will offer support to include training new Chefs, and hardwiring our standard operating procedures at designated accounts across the region. The qualified candidate will have extensive culinary knowledge and a degree in Culinary Arts or similar is desired.  Project work such as implementation of national retail menu and patient menu, At Your Reqest and Especially For You patient meal service; food management system and inventory and ordering systems.  The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing dining services operations, have a valid ServeSafe Certification and prior healthcare food service experience preferred. Thorough understanding of all regulatory standards needed to assist GM with deficiency-free department of health inspections essential.

 

The selected individual will provide effective leadership while driving tactical initiatives to exceed patient and client expectations. This position is responsible for ensuring that all planning and organizing and implementation activities fully support the Sodexo Brand. Will work closely with the District Manager in all matters relating to account operations in order to establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship that ensures account retention.

Position Summary

Designs, supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel in a medium to large account. This position is recognized as the technical expert, teacher and trainer for other chefs and cooks within the account. Selects and develops recipes and other items for clients. Develops menu, implements and trains HACCP, oversees/purchases food, establishes production levels and inventory controls, interviews and hires new chefs, manages/controls food cost issues and offer solutions, may train other chefs outside account. May cook selected items, and plan or price menus. Typically has chefs and cooks reporting to this position.

 

Qualifications & Requirements
