Summary of Work Performed

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing marketing communication projects with responsibilities that include public relations, special events management, advertising, and creating brand awareness. Organizes the preparation of proposals and presentations using marketing resource materials such as brochures, data, slides, photographs, and reports. Prepare status reports on marketing efforts. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under the supervision of General Manager and Assistant General Manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Reports to General Manager and Assistant General Manager.

The Marketing Coordinator will also serve as Host (among other duties in the restaurant as assigned) responsible for ensuring that the greeting and seating of guests is prompt, efficient and above all friendly and courteous according to Boston Pizza Restaurants, LP’s specifications and practices. The Host will coordinate the organization, traffic flow, and cleanliness of the dining room.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Business Affairs
  • May be required to assist in the training and development of new team members.
  • Cooperation, communication and team work are essential traits for our team.
  • Responsible for properly handling of cash and credit cards for all transactions within the restaurant.
  • Ensure that all reservations, telephone, waiting list, and take out procedures are followed.
  • Maintains a professional image and proper uniform standards while performing job related tasks.

Guest Experience

  • Frequent Guest contact and high visibility in the dining room are to be apparent at all times.
  • During marketing coordination outside the restaurant, Boston’s guest experience specifications and standards still apply.
  • Ensures all Guests are attended to and served in accordance with the high standards per Boston’s expectations. When necessary, involving a manager immediately if and when a negative Guest experience is identified.
  • Responsible for the smooth, even flow of the dining room is a top priority.
  • Responsible for thanking each and every Guest for the patronage in a sincere manner.

Product Quality & Knowledge

  • Maintains a high level of food and beverage knowledge and ensures all menu items are prepared according to Boston’s standards and expectations.
  • Ensure the standard recipes and methods are used at all times to ensure consistency and efficiency for all menu items.
  • Ensures the Guests benefit from ongoing and upcoming promotions by staying abreast and helping in the implementation and new promotions.

Safety & Sanitation

  • The health and safety of our Guests is a priority. Cleanliness of the inside and outside of the restaurant must be adhered to in accordance with Boston’s and local health department expectations.
  • Proper practices must be in place to ensure food safety. Controlling time and temperature throughout the flow of food, practicing good personal hygiene and preventing cross-contamination.
  • Proper checklists and cleaning schedules are followed to ensure a clean and safe dining environment.
