Job Description
The primary function of the Senior Packaging Engineer is to lead and oversee packaging structure creation to ensure high quality, brand-right executions that are quick to market and meet retailer requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Concept and engineer innovative packaging structures and monitor the process of development from concept to production
- Deliver dieline and blister executions
- Partner with cross functional teams to ensure packaging is compliant and meeting QSOP requirement domestically and internationally
- Partner with manager to create processes that support best practices for packaging engineering at American Girl
- Deliver a consistent brand image and quality product presentations through packaging structures that exist across product lines according to specifications
- Deliver quality product samples for structural sign-off, consumer testing, client reviews, and retailer reviews
Experience, Education & Skills
- Bachelor’s in Packaging Engineering or related field preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in Packaging preferred
- Proficiency in CAD and Artios
- Experience with working in a team environment, under tight deadlines, building strong relationships
- Ability to multi-task, to work on many projects concurrently and adhere to packaging and business schedules
- Great communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to take initiative
