ATTENDANT, CATERING (FULL-TIME)

 

• We have an opening for 7 full time Attendant, Catering positions.
• Location: Canteen-Coffee Distributing Corp, 387 Park Avenue South, Manhattan, NY 10106.  Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4:00am to 12:30pm.
• Requirement: Foodservice and customer service experience is preferred.

Summary: Provide office beverage or office coffee service in a designated client facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive deliveries of such items as; soft drinks, coffee products, cups, condiments, snack items, and sundries at customer’s place of business. Verifies orders received and reconciles noted variances following outlined operational procedures.
• Fills designated office pantry locations to proper inventory levels with such items as soft drinks, coffee, cups, condiments, and snack items; responsible for proper handling of perishable food products. Ensure all cold food and milk products be refrigerated at all times.
• Place stock in cabinets, on shelves, coffee racks, or in designated coolers. Rotating product to ensure first in and first out product utilization.
• Accountable for all receipts of goods, invoice or delivery ticket, cash received or collect, and product.
• Inform regular customers of new products or services; listens to and resolves service complaints; set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issues sales promotion materials to customers.
• Performs routine maintenance on and sanitation of office coffee and water equipment; conducts minor repairs and adjustments on machines such as, adjusting flow meters, clean brewer sprayer-head, de-liming brew valve, cleaning and replacing small machine components. Reports all out of service equipment to designated maintenance repair service operators or technician dispatcher.
• Maintains a clean and organized storage room. Established product par levels and order replacement inventory as to ensure adequate supplies to meet client needs while maximizing product rotation.
• Returns food and beverages, serving equipment and utensils to catering facility.
• Ensures a safe work environment; performs job safely and must wear slip resistance shoes.  Reports any unsafe acts or work conditions to the appropriate manager.
• Other duties may be assigned.
