Job Description: Will be welding stainless steel to Carbon steel via fluxcore welding
Candidates primary tasks will be removing stuffing tubes and welding new tubes based on direction.
Previous experience welding thin gauge materials is beneficial to process. Work Environment: Shop Environment and aboard Navy shipaps from time to time. Qualifications: 5 years of stainless steel fluxcore welding experience.
-Must be familiar with NAVY standard items
-Must be able to set up weld station and perform welds in confined spaces.
Must be able to pass an XRAY test for the stick weld on stainless steel plates. Performance Expectations: Must be able to pass all QA inspections based on NAVY standards Interview Information: Stainless steel fluxcore welding test on 6" plates. Will be on 2G, 3G and 4G positions. Additional Compensation: none Additional Information: Will be only required to wear a respirator once they start working on the ship. The first day of work will be a safety training in the classroom and then there will be paperwork and qualifications that will be done ni the shop through the first week of work.
