As a result of ATLAS Technology Group’s rapid growth, we are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to join our team. This person will play a critical role in the design, maintenance, and administration of ATLAS and Client’s IT Infrastructure. At ATLAS, we’re looking for passionate employees with the talent, motivation, and energy to help build and support our growing retail analytics footprint.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of network hardware, software, and related infrastructure. This requires team collaboration as well as ongoing technical development to ensure that network hardware, systems, and related processes meet business needs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work with various teams and vendors to implement and troubleshoot network, security, and application solutions to business problems in a timely manner
  • Implement security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent internal and external attacks on the company’s information systems
  • Provide hands-on network administration support, maintenance, and operations support
  • Serve as a contact for network users and communicate with other business units to resolve hardware and software issues and resolve complex technical issues
  • Recommend software and hardware enhancements
  • Build, configure, and troubleshoot software/hardware enhancements and infrastructure up-grades
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and complete tasks according to project prioritization
  • Interact with clients to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot issues while providing the highest quality of service
  • Back fill and support infrastructure team with day to day systems maintenance and support


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline or additional comparable experience
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification with focus in Route/Switch, Security, or Data Center
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
  • 3+ years network administration experience
  • Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills
  • Periodic lifting of systems equipment up to 100 lbs
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco internetworks, routing, switching, and related protocols in a LAN/WAN environment. Protocols include, but are not limited to VLANs, Port Channels, Trunking, Spanning-Tree, ACLs, NAT, IGMP, and Bonjour
  • Experience with VSS and VPC
  • Thorough understanding of Cisco CUCM, ASA, IPSec & AnyConnect VPN configurations
  • Windows Server 2012 / Red Hat Enterprise Linux / Mac OS X Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy a plus

Position Summary

Network and security engineering position responsible for implementing and supporting a wide range of technology solutions. This position requires a vast knowledge of various systems, engineering concepts involving information security, IT software and hardware, internal data communications systems, and network infrastructure.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with various teams and vendors to implement and troubleshoot network, security, and application solutions to business problems in a timely manner
  • Provide escalated support services to employees and clients with technical problems regarding IT issues
  • Implement security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent internal and external attacks on the company’s information systems
  • Ensure systems are compliant with company security standards
  • Provide support for priority issues including on-call support during non-business hours
  • Develop and maintain systems documentation to include administration guides, network, and configuration diagrams

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required) Associate's Degreeor equivalent experience

2-4 years of experience in Information Technology

  • Ability to troubleshoot and actively monitor network, application, and system performance
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Experience implementing, managing, and troubleshooting various Cisco networking and security products
  • Experience managing and monitoring system security and health for hundreds of network devices
  • Experience managing, upgrading, and deploying Microsoft Active Directory and associated technologies
  • Experience managing Microsoft System Center products
  • Experience managing Solarwinds Orion products

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
