PURPOSE
To keep all Running Line Program SKUs in stock at all company stores while maximizing inventory productivity as measured by turnover. This multi-functional position will require extensive partnership with the company’s Merchandising, Supply Chain and store teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Keep Running Line Program SKUs in stock at each store while minimizing inventory investment.
• Keep Replenished SKUs in stock for their area of responsibility.
• Maintain sales forecasts for new and existing items, improving accuracy over time.
• Generate necessary allocations and purchase orders from domestic and import vendors to keep both the distribution centers and stores in stock.
• Partner with stores on forecast and replenishment settings as well as manual order needs.
• Identify opportunities to minimize inventory investment to improve Turns and ensure compliance to the company's "Open to Buy" constraints.
• Identify root cause drivers of poor instocks and turnover and recommend actions steps to improve results.

ROLE SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
Category Inventory Analyst
• Focus on maintaining higher in stock for Top 20 SKUs in their area of responsibility
• Partner with vendors to improve on-time and complete shipments
• Participate in product line reviews and partner with merchandising and stores teams to influence the product assortment to maximize in-stocks and inventory turns
• Find opportunities to adjust visual presentation settings and job size parameters to maximize inventory turns and sales
• Reduce discontinued inventory investment to <10% for their area of responsibility

Job Requirements

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
• Must be detail-oriented and organized
• Action-oriented and accountable for responsibilities
• Ability to adapt well in a dynamic retail corporate environment
• Proficient in MS Office applications especially Excel
• E3 forecasting and replenishment solution knowledge is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
• Possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Must pass pre-employment background check

WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)
• This position is salaried, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week
• Limited local travel may be required.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
