POSITION TITLE: TEAM MEMBER
REPORTS TO: General Manager; Assistant General Manager; Shift Leader
EXEMPTION STATUS: Hourly
POSITION SUMMARY:
Implementation of tactics to optimize restaurant sales and cash flow while ensuring adherence to quality, cleanliness, and guest service standards. .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Responsible for restaurant's performance levels in job positions assigned by upper management. Team members are to maintain their stations in a clean and orderly manner. Team members will receive additional assignments to maintain unit in accordance with Del Taco cleanliness standards. Each position has different duties and responsibilities:
Preparation
The PREP person is responsible for the preparation of certain food items. In non 24 hour restaurants the prep person must also set up the various work stations and serve early morning guests.
Walk-up Order Taker (Cashier)
The DINING ROOM ORDER TAKER (Cashier) is responsible for greeting our guests and taking their orders accurately in a friendly manner. This position requires knowledge of the menu items and their ingredients as well as familiarity with the step-by-step procedure for friendly and efficient guest service. In addition, the order taker will be responsible for accurate cash control.
Push-Walk
The DINING ROOM DELIVERY PERSON is responsible for delivering orders to guest. To insure that each order is complete and prepared properly, the delivery person will have to become familiar with all the menu items and their packaging.
Drive-Thru Order Taker
The DRIVE-THRU ORDERTAKER is responsible for taking the orders from each drive-thru guest in a friendly and efficient manner. This position requires knowledge of the menu items and their ingredients as well as familiarity with the step-by-step procedure for friendly and efficient guest service. In addition, the drive-thru order taker will need to know how to operate the menu board speaker system.
Assembly
The ASSEMBLY PERSON is responsible for insuring that each guest receives exactly what was ordered, both promptly and courteously. Orders must be directed to both the dining room and drive-thru areas in an orderly and organized manner. All orders must be verified for correctness and completion. The assembly person must have the awareness to recognize if any particular station is about to fall behind and have the ability to render assistance at that station without hindering his/her remaining responsibilities.
Taco Bar
The TACO BAR PERSON is responsible for the preparation of each Mexican food item quickly and according to recipes. The taco bar person is also responsible for maintaining the quality standards of the products he/she prepares.
Grill
The GRILL PERSON is responsible for the preparation of food items from the American kitchen. The grill person is also responsible for maintaining the quality standards of the products he/she prepares.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Minimum 16 years of age or older.
Ability to be self-reliant. Execute assigned duties and responsibility from upper management staff.
Must adhere to Del Taco uniform and grooming policy.
Excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate with management, corporate staff, restaurant employees, and guests.
Ability to travel to assigned restaurant location and operate respective work stations.
