The part-time Sales Associate performs a wide range of duties related to customer service and satisfaction, achievement of store sales goals, inventory management, visual merchandising and promotion of store programs and events . He or she helps achieve business growth and profitability by learning and maintaining knowledge of our product lines, brands, and the pricing of our gently-used clothing and accessories for teens and young adults.

The ideal candidate for this position has a strong understanding of style and style trends, an engaging and upbeat personality, exceptional interpersonal skills, an affinity for making friends with customers, and professionalism beyond reproach.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-Greet customers immediately, determine their needs, and handle all transactions in a professional and welcoming manner. Proactively assist customers on the sales floor and at the dressing rooms.
-Stay on the leading edge of style trends to provide customers with style-conscious suggestions that meet their expectations in terms of dress, attire, and budget.
-Maximize sales and customer satisfaction by adding items to the close of the sale.
-Invite customers to return to the store to buy, sell, or trade and promote the store concept.
-Develop proficiency and perform all point of sale related tasks, which involves but is not limited to counting cash, making change, processing debit and credit cards, and operating the POS system.
-Buy used product from our customers. This involves keeping up-to-date on current fashion trends, brands, labels, and current mall pricing.
-Price, ticket, and sensor items appropriately based on pricing, buying, hanging, and tagging guidelines.
-Restock store following the current merchandising plan.
-Create and maintain wall displays, end-cap displays, and window displays.
-Maintain a “white glove” store atmosphere in terms of cleanliness including ongoing straightening of merchandise, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and specific cleaning tasks as assigned.
-Ensure fitting rooms are ready for customers by promptly clearing out merchandise and returning it to the proper area.
-Achieve personal and store sales goals by applying sound customer service and sales protocol.
-Assist with store security, which involves but it not limited to practicing loss prevention techniques and monitoring the sales floor and dressing rooms.
-Answer store phone calls in a professional and welcoming manner and respond to questions about our store while providing as much information about our processes as possible.
-Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
-Other duties as assigned.
