BARTENDER
Punch Bowl Social's high volume, craft cocktail program is looking for a qualified individual to join their team as Bartender. This person will be hardworking, dedicated, and experienced in high-volume bar scenarios.
Punch Bowl Social Food & Drink is a restaurant, bar, and entertainment concept being developed nationwide. With six existing locations (Austin, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Portland and Schaumburg), Nation's Restaurant News has named us one of the ‘2015 Break Out Brands'.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
● Responsible for carding all bar guests under the age of 30
● Responsible to producing high quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic craft beverages
● Responsible for completing assigned daily cleaning duties.
● Interact verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.
● Serve food and drinks to all bar guests.
● Provide and serve all service staff alcoholic drinks and juices for their guests via the service well
● Complete assigned opening and closing side work.
● Slice fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks.
● Relay food orders to kitchen via the POS computerized register system.
● Prepare and or maintain stock (bar garnishes, glasses, beer etc.) necessary for bartending function.
● Empty trash cans when needed.
● Maintain proper cash management at all times.
● Maintain proper uniform and come in ready to work.
● Claim tips/wages according to federal law requirements.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
● Able to stand during entire shift.
● Able to operate blenders and other bar equipment
● Transport glass racks, trash cans and cases up to 30 pounds (such as a case of beer) up to 15 times per shift.
● Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required.
● Capable of using knives and other food preparation equipment safely.
