In this role, you will be involved in developing innovative business solutions by creating new applications, modifying existing applications and providing post production support. Predominantly you will be designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver value to our organization.
Primary Responsibilities:

Design, implement and maintain applications within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established processes
Communicate effectively with other engineers and QA
Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed
Identify production and non-production application issues
Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of .Net developed projects
Provide technical support and consultation for .Net application and infrastructure questions
Serve as a mentor to less experienced Developers
Lead, manage, and/or assist in all aspects of the software development cycle, including requirements definition, design, development, implementation, installation, maintenance, and documentation
Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers; analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigating problem areas
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features etc
Debug existing software and correct defects
Identify areas and make recommendations for improving the system
Collaborate and assist with developing test procedures for software components as well as software and system documentation
Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
*If located outside the Twin Cites, travel may be required to attend project onsite meetings located in Eden Prairie, MN

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a software developer
2+ years of experience working in Unix or Linux environments
2+ years of experience working in Healthcare industry
3+ years development experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL
Experience with scripting languages such as korn shell
Experience with full development life cycle activities including design, development, integration, system and unit testing
Preferred Qualifications:

BA degree
Available locations: Minnetonka, MN; Boston, MA (please note: we are open to looking at candidates from other cities/states, BUT you must be open to moving to one of the above office locations)
Reporting skills utilizing BI platforms such as: Cognos, SAS, Microstrategy, Crystal, etc
