Team members use multiple computer platforms to complete required tasks. They work with patients and health care professionals and must have excellent communication skills. Additional language skills are a plus. Previous specialty pharmacy experience is preferred but not required. Must have exceptional customer service skills and be committed to helping our patients achieve the best possible outcomes. Prior management or leadership experience a plus.Positions in this function perform various duties related to the fulfillment of prescription orders. Interprets physicians' prescriptions and creates order, accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer system, verifies whether order is reimbursable. Dispenses any or all of the following: unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals and injectibles; may compound medications. Consults with customers, patients and/or physicians regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions. Consultations may be telephonic or in person. Reviews and approves/denies requests for prescription prior authorizations. Pharmacists must have a current license without restrictions and Pharmacy Technicians must have current state license or national certification without restrictions based on regulatory requirements of worksite.Primary Responsibilities:Extensive work experience, possibly in multiple functions.Work does not usually require established procedures.Works independently.Mentors others.Acts as a resource for others. Coordinates others' activities.

Requirements

Requirements:HS Diploma/GEDMust be a Certified Pharmacy Technician
registered and in good standing with the Texas State Board of pharmacy. 1+ years of experience as a Certified
Pharmacy Technician in a mail order, specialty and or retail pharmacy.Familiarity with computer and Windows PC
applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer
system application Available to work 40 hours per week and overtime
as required according to the needs of the business available hours of 7am
to 7pm Monday thru Saturday
