The Director of Non-Par Medicare Programs will lead the non-par strategy for Medicare providers, with specific attention to meeting the needs of the United Healthcare Retire Solutions business, supporting Group Retiree membership. Stars performance, provider engagement and collaborating with many functions and roles across the enterprise will be key to the success of the ideal candidate.  Must be able to inspire a team and help them continually reach their full potential through strong management process and structure, strong analytical capability, and innovative approaches to solving problems. This role will need to not only manage, but lead and demonstrate effective practices and behaviors in interacting with providers.

Primary Responsibilities:


Own an end to end process
Develop functional, market level, and/or site strategy, plans, production and/or organizational priorities
Identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems outside own team
Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact entire functions and/or customer accounts (internal or external)

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience working with a managed care organization, health insurer, or consultant in a network management/contract management role, such as contracting, provider services, etc.
5+ years of experience managing staff.
3+ years project management or project lead experience
Strong knowledge of business processes that impact facility/ancillary contact loading and auditing
Ability to convey complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand
Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with various levels of leadership
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:


Background in sales or sales techniques
