POSITION PURPOSE
Manage compliance with federal, state and local fair employment practices statutes and requirements for all retail store and HD business entities located within one assigned area of the Company, which includes Supply Chain and MET. Defend charges of discrimination filed with government regulatory agencies such as EEOC, DOL Wage & Hour and OSHA. Support all aspects of the assigned area's implementation of the Affirmative Action Program; act as the Company's liaison with the Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). 

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 
10% Evaluate investigation issues, develop strategy, provide direction/guidance to EEO MGR of Investigation; assess company exposure to liability, perform cost/benefit analysis & recommend next steps to field leaders & business partners. Partner with Associate Relations Manager on data prep/compilation for response to OFCCP audits.

50% Prepare timely/effective responses to discrimination complaints & OFCCP audits, including evidentiary documents, data & correspondence in partnership with legal & HR leaders to limit information produced while demonstrating good faith effort to comply with agency requests; conduct investigations of other issues raised.

20% Serve as company representative designated to advocate/persuade regulatory agency, including management of & attendance at mediations, hearings, fact finding conferences & on-site audits by OFCCP & EEOC, and the preparation of witnesses 

5% Responsible for maintenance of written AAPs for all application locations within assigned area including all activities related to meeting & maintaining goals set by the Company 

5% Perform trend analysis & reporting on high profile cases to Legal, Sr. Manager & field HR leaders within assigned area. 

5% Develop training for approval by EEOC & other regulatory agencies as part of conciliation or consent decree; also may co-lead training with field HR partners. 

5% Answer field inquiries, calls & questions about the I-9 & E-Verify process within assigned area. 

NATURE AND SCOPE - Position reports to Sr. EEO Compliance Manager No direct responsibility for supervising others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must pass the Drug Test.

Must pass the Background Check.

Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.

EDUCATION REQUIRED
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job. 

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 03

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS 
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Provides outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Advance degree in law, employee relations or human resources. At least 3-4 years of combined experience in employment law and affirmative action compliance.

Comprehensive knowledge of current AA regulatory procedures and technical requirements.
Comprehensive knowledge of Federal and state employment laws.
Strong data analysis and interpretation skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Conflict resolution/ability to negotiate and advocate in adversarial setting.
Group presentation skills Must be able to effectively persuade and influence others to accept change in a positive manner; ability to see cause and effect relationships in order to anticipate future events.
