Lead Cashier - Part-time

We have a part-time opening for a Lead Cashier.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Maintain various reports on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
• Assist with the review and maintenance inventory procedures (daily, weekly)
• Assist with vendor ordering and review of invoicing (daily, weekly)
• Order, clean, rotate merchandise (Check expiration dates and face-off product)
• Check in and meet with vendors
• Price and stock merchandise, build displays
• Learn and become proficient with daily data collection and input into system
• Process invoices, mark-ups, mark-downs and price changes
• Assist in training and motivating store employees (safety, maintenance, cleaning etc…)
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service (assist customers when needed)
• Perform cashier and attendant duties
• Assist with maintaining the store’s site image inside and out (cleaning, stocking etc…)
• Enforce and abide by all corporate polices and procedures
• Operate cash register to enter convenience store and gasoline purchases
• Account for all monies, cigarettes and lottery tickets on shift
• Assist in cooking convenient store food if applicable
• Light janitorial duties – collect and dispose of trash, wash windows, clean and maintain equipment, lot car wash building

Qualification Requirements

• Must be flexible to work various schedules (weekends, holidays, overtime as needed)
• Must have the ability to accurately handle money
• Must have a strong attention to detail
• Must posses excellent verbal and communication skills
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Must be capable with effectively communicating with customers and employees
• Must be able to work independently and be self motivated
• Minimal education of high school graduate or GED
• Must be able to stand or walk for duration of shift
• Regularly lift and or move up to 20 lbs.
• Exposure to variable temperatures (indoor, outdoor, walk - in cooler)
• Work with cleaning solvents and chemicals
• Daily exposure to gasoline and oil products
