ASSET PROTECTION GREETER

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Asset Protection greeter is responsible for maintaining professional visual deterrence to prevent losses, while creating a safe and pleasant shopping experience and working environment, and providing a consistently positive customer experience. This position is part-time and requires nights and weekends on a regular basis.

FOCUS OF POSITION:

• Provide visual deterrence

• Develop good rapport with employees to foster environment and culture of honesty and integrity in the store

• Provide consistently positive customer experience by greeting customers as they enter the store and providing information about merchandise location, services and store’s layout

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Enforce company standards as they relate to security and safety procedures

• Participate in the Asset Protection Weekly Audit Program

• Maintain Known Stolen program

• Participate in the store's loss prevention and safety programs

• Deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism

• Assist customers with shopping carts and promotional flyers

• Ensure front entrance is clean and safe for all shoppers

• Drive EAS compliance by following Asset Protection current standards

• Conduct bag checks as per company’s guidelines

• Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by Store or Loss Prevention Management.

SKILLS:

• Ability to provide outstanding customer service

• Ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy

• Ability to follow directions

• Ability to maintain a fair, consistent set of standards, using judgment and discretion

• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others

• Ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle merchandise, which entails lifting and performing all functions as detailed above

• Basic knowledge of computer and MS Office
