Accounting Clerk

PrideStaff is currently seeking an ambitious and hard-working Accounting Assistant to work for one of our Clients in Kirkwood, MO. This is a great opportunity for someone who may have a general level of knowledge/academics and is anxious to secure "real life" experience and expertise with an incredible company in a temp-to-hire position.

Candidates with academic experience and/or moderate professional experience in the following areas should apply:
**Accounting
**Billing / Invoicing
**Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable

Job Description:
- Assist in areas including A/R, A/P, Billing, Collections and Payroll
- Accounts Payable including record vendor invoices within the accounting system ensuring all taxes and internal coding are accurate
- Accounts Receivable including assisting with collection of customer receivables
- Research outstanding receivables and report status to Operations and/or Accounting leadership
- Record cash receipts within accounting system, resolve related issues/discrepancies.
- Ensure accuracy of billing format and details

Job Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- Eagerness to be an important part of a team and committed to support the team's on-going success
- Extremely strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Natural drive for problem solving
- Good numerical and analytical reasoning skills
- Ability to work independently – to “get the job done”
- Must have consistent and reliable means of transportation
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
- Must provide 2 work references (no personal references please)
- Must be able to follow attendance and cell phone policy
