Sodexo Universities is seeking a motivated and ambitious Food Service Manager 1 to oversee the retail food service operations at Lee University , located in Cleveland, TN ! The successful Retail Manager 1 will be team-focused, have strong leadership attributes and excellent customer service skills. Lee University has a combination of national and Sodexo retail brands as well as a vibrant Simply-To-Go program.
The Retail Manager 1 is responsible for maintaining food quality and customer service in retail food operations that accept multiple forms of payment, including cash, meal plans, credit cards and declining balance. In addition, this position will assist with payroll, cash control, financial reporting and HR responsibilities for retail locations staff members.
The successful candidate will report the Retail Manager III and support eight (8) retail food locations on the campus including Chick-fil-A, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, Einstein's, and Sandella's along with Sodexo's Jazzman's and Simply-To-Go locations. This position may assume the Retail Manager 3 responsibilities and authority in his/her absence.
The ideal candidate will have:
College / University high volume retail food service management experience; Ability to uphold food safety, sanitation and overall workplace standards; Strong operational standards experience, exceptional customer service skills and the ability to engage, train and develop frontline staff; Strong interpersonal skills, both with clients and staff, along with internal and external guests; Experience managing multiple food retail outlets and national brands; Strong financial acumen while providing innovation and the ability to grown revenue while managing cost; Previous cash handling experience. ** Relocation Assistance IS available for this position! **

May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
