Part Time Field Interviewer - 19999

On behalf of RTI International, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Part-Time Field Interviewers for a government-sponsored research study. As a Part-Time Field Interviewer, you will collect data for the High School Longitudinal Study of 2009 (HSLS:09), a national study of a group of students who were 9th graders in the 2009–10 academic year and are now 21 years old. HSLS:09 is conducted by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) of the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences. 

As a Part-Time Field Interviewer, you will…

• Attempt to interview study participants at their place of residence while completing the required number of interviews at the end of the data collection period
• Obtain cooperation of study participants by effectively answering questions and addressing concerns
• Ability to complete all required activities in a professional manner, while maintaining the integrity of all information acquired
• Maintain a professional, cooperative relationship with your Field Supervisor and other project staff

Key Requirements

• Prior successful experience with field data collection
• Available for at least 25-30 hours per week including evenings and weekend hours
• Reliable personal automobile available for business use
• Able to carry project-related equipment, approximately 15 pounds
• Must have regular access to an internet connection for data transmissions

Required Training

Attend 3-day out of town in–person paid training August 30th – September 1st, 2016

Hours and Pay Rate

• Part time, offering roughly 25-30 hours/week
• Variable schedule – evening and weekend hours
• Project related mileage would be reimbursed at the government rate of $0.54/mile
• Data collection period is scheduled to last 16 weeks depending on location and project needs beginning September 2016.
