Description:
Currently seeking local candidates for long term Entry Level Diagnostic Lab Technician positions with one of the largest laboratories here in the Southern California area.
This is a great opportunity to a get a foot in the door for inexperienced candidates focused on expanding their knowledge of the Lab Sciences. The ideal candidate comes with recent research or working experience in the lab.With this being such a large organization, the room for growth and opportunity is huge.
Job Duties:
Performs basic laboratory functions such as pipetting, dispensing, running standard instruments, cell cultures, immunoassays, and data processing. Plaque counting
Duties include assisting in the performance of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting, assisting in the preparation and storage of reagents and culture media, assisting with the performance of quality control, performance of specimen labeling, handling,
preservation, processing or preparation, and specimen storage. The individual will be under the direction of the Clinical Trials Manager. Supports applicable regulations including ISO, Local, State, and/or Federal requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts and 1 year of previous laboratory experience in biology, microbiology and bio chem majors preferred
Tissue culture experience
Industry/academic lab experience is a plus
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Must be experienced and comfortable working in lab environment.
