Aero Service Group operates multiple concepts in the BWI Airport.  We are hiring experienced full service restaurant cooks for DuClaw Brewing Company and Zona Cocina.  We are looking for people that take pride in what they do and want to learn new skills in a fast paced kitchen environment.

Cook Job Summary:

The Cook contributes to the success of the restaurant by preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served.  The cook is responsible for appropriate use of the facility, supplies and equipment while complying with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass all training modules and attain any required certifications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate airport security badge.
  • Have complete knowledge of all food ingredients and preparations.
  • Must correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet needs.
  • Prepares or directs preparation of food served using established procedures and systems.
  • Strict adherence to Food Safety and Sanitation guidelines.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with staff members.
  • Able to read and write in English.
  • Must be well-groomed and in a clean uniform at all times.
  • Able to lift and carry as much as 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours.
  • Able to reach, bend and wipe.

 

Duties:

  • Arrive to work each day on time, neat and alert, in a full and clean uniform.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all recipes, products and production procedures.
  • Ensures that food is prepared or cooked to company standards and specifications.  Follows recipes for each product.
  • Ensures that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
  • Ensures station is set up and stocked.
  • Monitors quality of all ingredients and all products served to customers.
  • Ensures all product is dated and rotated (first in-first out).
  • Completes all tasks that are assigned from the BOH checklists
  • Monitors temperature of food to maintain food safe temperatures.
  • Ensures Floors are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
  • Ensures that equipment is clean and maintained.
  • Keeps kitchen and storage areas clean and sanitary.
  • Use equipment only as it was intended and follows all safety guidelines.

 

Participate in a Team Environment

  • Provide help to any coworkers whenever possible.
  • Request help immediately when needed for any reason.
  • Communicate with all co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Set a good example through attitude, involvement and positive influence.
  • Report employee relation issues of a sensitive nature to the manager on duty.
