Several of our clients in the Portland Metro area are looking for Maintenance Electricians for the following job duties:

PJ, J, or LME able to maintain and repair production equipment and the facility. Performs repairs in one or more areas with little or no supervision in accordance with service manuals and manufacturers specifications. PJ and J electricians should be able to install wiring for new machinery and replace electrical components in a professional manner.

-Be willing to work all over the plant, doing a variety of things, but what will the majority of the work that they'll be doing? PM?s, Repairs throughout the plant with equipment, lighting, Buildings, etc.
- What is the percentage of time they are performing electrical vs. mechanical work? 80%/20%
- Besides the Electrical License, are there any other credentials or certifications that will help? Mechanical background would be extremely helpful.
- Are they working with a PLC software? Very little If so, which one and what level of experience is needed? Allen Bradley, basic plc trouble shooting experience.
- How big is the team that they will be working with? About 9 other employee?s
- If they do not have manufacturing experience, do other industries cross over? IE: facilities, construction, etc. It all helps but they will need to be trained longer if they don't have industrial or manufacturing.

- What will the first day to first week look like for the new hire? First day will be getting orientated, and going through the plant with other employees to show facility and doing minor repairs.
- How do you measure their performance? Safety! Initiative! Attendance! Quality! Quantity! Cooperation!
- Any disqualifiers? No license: Must have Current license in Oregon for either LME, Plant Journeyman, General Journeyman, or Electrical Supervisor.
