Primary Responsibilities:
Confirm provider appointmentsProcess referrals for durable medical equipment and referrals to specialistsUpdate and upload patient care dataIdentify and correct inconsistencies in documentation demographics/notations Enroll new patients into systemsAssist with Program Eligibility verificationsPrint and placement of face sheets as neededTrack hospital dischargesFax encounters to PCPsFax patient orders to vendors (i.e. lab companies)Forward physician orders for signatureNotify pharmacies of new prescriptions and authorizations of refills as ordered and/or authorized by the ProviderDocument case information completely, accurately, and in a timely mannerParticipate quality monitoring processDemonstrate a high level of customer service  behavior at all timesExpedite emergency calls as neededAttend regular staff meetings as scheduledCoordinate inbound/outbound calls  – patient calls, appointments, DME, referral updatesMaintain confidential health information according to state and federal regulations including HIPAAAssist with gathering and organizing of appropriate medical records (e.g. history and physical, lab work, test results)File and faxPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements


Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED2+ years of Telephonic Customer Service experience2+ years of working experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel2+ years of previous experience in Healthcare and Customer ServiceMust
be willing to work between the hours of 10:00 am to 7:00 pm CST Monday
through Friday during the Spring/Summer months and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Monday through Friday during the Fall/Winter months
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of a healthcare background with medical terminology familiarity of Clinical issues2+ years of knowledge of HIPAA Compliance requirementsExperience working with chronically ill population helpfulHealth care experienceSoft Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skillsStrong verbal and written communication
