CNC Machinist - Full-time / Part-time

Summary:
Works under minimal supervision, sets up and operates CNC machines.
1. Minimum 8 years of CNC Vertical and Horizontal Lathe experience
2. Knowledge of editing or programming CNC machinery
Reads and interprets blueprints using the metric system
3. Responsible for 100% of quality control of part manufactured.
4. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as manual and digital micrometers and calipers to meet tolerance requirements
5. Manual machining experience is a plus
6. Monitor feed and speed of machines during machining process.
7. Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
8. Study sample parts, drawings, and engineering prints to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
9. Set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
10. Position and fasten work pieces.
11. Conduct and record maintenance on CNC machines.
12. Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
12. Document FAI (first artical of inspection) on parts manufactured.
13. Perform other duties, as needed

Working on You-Ji brand machine, which operates on controls similar to Fanuc.
