Medical Debt Collector (Bilingual) - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is looking for a Bilingual (Spanish speaking) Medical Collector for a 3 month contract to hire assignment. This position will be supporting a large national hospital to reconcile unpaid insurance claims. The individual will be a part of a team that is working to rectify 6,000 claims. Our client is looking to get about 1100 accounts per month for 3 of their clients hospital and physician locations. The client will initially bill the claim at day 1 and the team will be assigned any that have not paid at day 151. This individual will primarily be researching claims online and calling on ones that need clarification on to get them to pay. If the claim has denied, we will be forwarding it back to the client who has a denial team ready to work those. The job will be research, follow up and billing of claims. There will be minimal exposure to coding of claims in this role.


Job responsibilities include:
* Ensure all claims are submitted with a goal of zero errors.
* Verify completeness and accuracy of all claims prior to submission.
* Timely follow up on insurance and kept payment monies from out of network carriers.
* Meet deadlines.
* Reading and interpreting insurance explanation of benefits.
* Utilize monthly aging accounts to start follow up at day 151+.
* Make necessary arrangements for medical records requests, completion of additional information requests, etc. as requested by insurance companies.
* Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients and providers.
* Regularly meet with Account Manager to discuss and resolve reimbursement issues or billing obstacles.
* Regularly attend monthly staff meetings and continuing educational sessions as requested.
* Perform additional duties as requested by Supervisory or Management team.

Additional job responsibilities:
- Reaching out to numerous insurance companies
- Responsible for 40-50 calls a day
- Rectifying open claims
- Will be trained on client specific systems
