About this job
Must have 3-5 years experience on the standard sit down forklift. Will be responsible for operating the forklift for 30 -40% of the day.
Experience in a receiving function
Computer "literate" - familiar with Excel, Powerpoint, MS Word, Oracle (is not required but desired), email.
Attention to detail / Detail oriented
Comfortable with multi-tasking
Work well under pressure
Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, performing any combination of following duties: Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
Loads and unloads trailers using a dock ramp or dock door, moving materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or by fork lift.
Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using handtools.
Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination, using hand-operated crane or hoist, or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.
Lifts heavy objects by hand or using power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds, to assist machine operators.
Report inaccuracies between product quantity and/or system quantity
Performs cycle counts
Plays transactions in the ERP system reflective of the physical movement of parts
Acts as a backup to the receiving clerk
Escalates any out of standard request
Other duties as required
Hours: 9:00AM -5:30PM
Monday - Friday. Must be able to work OT.
