Food Manufacturing Machine Operator - Full-time / Part-time

Seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined candidate to work as a Machine Operator in a food chemical plant.

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize a computer to oversee efficiency of the production equipment and ensure that machines are running properly and at the correct temperature
• Turning various valves to operate machine based on the manufacturing processes
• Thinking outside the box to troubleshoot machines and valves
• Climbing ladders to oversee production
• Operating food processing equipment, spray dryer and centrifuge
• Operating sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks
• Rebuilding pumps and motors when required
• Some blending and mixing of ingredients / chemicals
• Lifting up to 50 pounds throughout the day
• Standing and walking 8 hours a day

Environment:

• A small manufacturing facility of 5-10 people
• The facility is warm in the summer and colder in the winter
• Traveling up and down a steep flight of stairs/ladders
• Working from heights (15 feet)
• Working with different types of chemicals

Qualifications:

• Mechanical inclination- being able to troubleshoot machines, motors and valves
• Food production experience and familiar with GMP policies and procedures
• 1+ years of production experience

Shift:

• 1st shift, 8:00am, 5:00pm with some overtime

Wage:

• $17/hr starting
