Role Summary U nder the direction of a lead, supervisor or duty supervisor, the Electronics Technician will repair, maintain, troubleshoot, design and install electronic controls and electro-mechanical systems. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain, erect, repair and troubleshoot rides and attractions following Manufacture and Engineering specifications to insure their safe and efficient operation with minimum supervision. Inspect rides and attractions and notify management and or Engineering of any hazards, defects, and ride or guest related problems that may endanger the guest, staff and the general public. Keep all records and documentation updated daily, accessible and organized. Insure that manufacturer's specifications, procedures, and State Regulations are complied with and documented. Maintain OSHA Safety Standards and other policies and procedures of Six Flags, Inc. and Six Flags America. Communicate with the various Maintenance departments to maintain a productive and satisfying work environment. Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time, climb stairs and ladders repeatedly, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and work overhead using both hands. Assist in ride evacuations, lift fifty pounds without injury and work in the elements. Possess the ability to work at heights above 200 feet or more above grade. Conducts winterization and winter maintenance of computerized ride control systems and electrical equipment in the park Assist in installation, remodeling, retrofits and rehabilitates rides and buildings as needed. Responds to work orders and ride downtime calls in a timely manner. Skills & Qualifications Industrial electrical experience preferred Must have thorough understanding of Allen Bradley PLC's, Allen Bradley and ABB AC/DC motor drives, and other electrical equipment theory and operation. Diagnoses electrical problems, initiates required repair work, ability to understand ride monitoring equipment, relays, switches, limiters, transformers, etc. and maintenance as required. Trouble shooting skills to the board and device level. Operational knowledge of electrical test equipment (i.e. mega/micro ohm meter, volt meter, current meter, and other various pieces of test equipment. Analyze and repair malfunctioning park electrical equipment and systems. Must be professional, energetic, self-motivated, ability to motivate others, and have a positive attitude. Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays a must. Must possess a valid driver's license and a clear driving record. Strong work ethic with the ability to work well under pressure and multi-task Medium voltage experience a plus Maintains and repairs park lighting and fixtures. Installs electrical conduit and wiring; cleans electrical equipment and components; maintains controls on rides; maintains ride lighting. Conducts preventative maintenance on rides, computerized ride control systems, electrical utilities and equipment. Performs daily inspection, maintenance and repair computerized ride control systems, electrical utilities and equipment in the park and other equipment as needed.
