Seasonal Ride Mechanic

Reports To: Mechanical Supervisor Position Type: Seasonal Hourly Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain, erect, repair and troubleshoot rides and attractions to ensure safe and efficient operation Keep a ride parts inventory and notify the supervisor of any parts or materials necessary to ensure safe, continuous operation Work in conjunction with other staff to solve ride-related problems Ensure that rides are clean and visually compliant with manufacturer's specifications and Six Flags expectations Ensure manufacturer specifications and state regulations are complied with and documented Inspect rides and attractions and notify the Ride Maintenance Supervisor and/or Mechanical Supervisor of any hazards that may endanger the general public or Six Flags staff Keep all records in an accessible, organized fashion Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned ----------------- Skills and Qualifications: 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent work experience Work up to six days per week including nights, weekends, holidays and varied shifts during the operating season Work at heights over 200 feet Possess a valid driver's license Lift 50 lbs. without difficulty Possess the ability to stand for up to 10 hours, climb stairs repeatedly and assist with ride evacuations Comprehend and implement maintenance and inspection procedures Work professionally and productively with the general public as well as all levels of management Strong work ethic with an attention to detail Work both independently and in a team environment Meet deadlines in an efficient manner Park: Six Flags New EnglandPark: six flags new england
