You are responsible for managing all aspects of daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting including the design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance and analysis of database queries and reports.Presents analyses results / recommendations to customer leadership directly in a timely, consistent, and accurate manner.  Recommends and implements new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information.Provides subject matter expertise on all data elements and report content related to the data warehouse.Coordinates with end users, the data warehouse developers, DBA’s, and the change / release manager to ensure total system quality assurance is met at all times.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, tests, documents and maintains database queries and reports related to — but not limited to — customer service, enrollment, eligibility, claims, and physician offices
Works with customers to define and document additional requirements to enrich reporting capabilities
Develops systematic reporting processes and procedures to ensure timely delivery of daily, weekly, monthly, annual and ad hoc reporting to management
Troubleshoots data integrity issues, analyzes data for completeness to meet business needs, and proposes documented solution recommendations
Transfers data into meaningful, professional and easy to understand formats for various audiences
Combines various data sources into a comprehensive understanding of customer behaviors and feedback for service improvement opportunities
Manages reporting and analysis elements on all business initiative projects
Recommends and implements new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve report content and completeness of information
Troubleshoots and coordinates resolutions to all system issues affecting Customer Service
Creates on-line tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of staff in their role of servicing our customer

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology or related field  -OR- 4 additional years of comparable work beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
4+ years of related experience in a reporting and analytic role
1+ years of experience in a managed care environment
Proficient in SQL, SQL Reporting Services, ODBC, MS Access, and MS Excel and / or equivalent data capture / reporting tools
Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities with special attention to accuracy and detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management, including executive and senior management teams
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Business Objects, Cognos, Microsoft Reporting Services, or other Reporting Tools
Development experience with APIs using Java, MS or similar technology
Health care industry experience
4+ years of SSRS, SSIS, 2008 or higher
SQL performance tuning
Change Control and versioning app experience
Advanced T-SQL Skills
Visual Studio 2008 or higher
Experience in SDLC environment
Self-starter with a proven ability to take ownership of job responsibilities and ensure successful completion of all projects and requests
Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in high volume workload situations
